Early Years Qualifications
These are the courses we run in our training centre which lead to CACHE qualfiications:

NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in An Introduction to Early Years Settings
This qualification will allow learners to gain a basic knowledge of childcare in early years environments. This includes the value of play, roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers, and the importance of developing links in the local community. It covers working with children up to the age of 5 years. The qualification is aimed at parents and volunteers wishing to participate in the provision made by early years environments, such as pre-schools. NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare
Sarah Whatmore, one of our Early Years Consultants in West Berkshire, regularly runs a course called “Preparing to Become a Childminder”. This has taught sessions on Saturday and will lead to a Level 3 award on the completion of a portfolio. This course is run regularly via Zoom. - NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Children's Speech, Language and Communication
This course is led by Louise Griffiths, our Assistant Headteacher, who is the early language consultant for West Berkshire. The course has 4 taught sessions and a portfolio to be completed in 12-18 months.
