Pupil Premium
Early Years Pupil Premium
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is a additional funding source for the Nursery School and is available for children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits or match other criteria. Some of the funding is provided by the Department for Education, and some by West Berkshire Council. Click on this link to West Berkshire Council which provides further details. Funding is allocated on a term by term basis in early years.
Victoria Park's Governors have agreed that EYPP will be used to provide qualifying children with additional hours while they are in Willow group. This decision was based on research evidence that shows that additional access to quality teaching is the best way for children to make rapid progress - our data over the past 4 years, reflects that. Older children in Chestnut group, may also qualify for EYPP, and there we employ one additional adult above ratio, which allows the teachers to plan for small groups to support the development of skills in the prime areas of learning.
If you think your child may be eligible for EYPP funding, we would be grateful if you would complete the EYPP form for parents in our registration pack (or available from the office) and return it to us as soon as possible.
If you would like any further information or help about EYPP, please ask one of the staff in the School Office.
